Functional Mouths for Sustainable Health
Meet Christine Hanson
I'm a northwest native, having grown up on an island in Puget Sound, WA. I enjoy staying active outdoors in the water, on the mountains, and most places in between. I'm happy to call the Columbia River Gorge my home and love showing my young children, Ada and Gus around with my husband, David.
After graduating from The University of Washington in 2006, I spent 3 years working and playing in Jackson, WY, before returning to Seattle to earn my dental hygiene degree.
I've practiced clinical dental hygiene for over 8 years in a variety of settings and treated patients across varying socioeconomic backgrounds. The number of patients I've met living with unaddressed chronic health issues inspires me to seek better answers. Learning about orofacial myofunctional disorders and their relation to sleep disordered breathing (and all their co-morbidities!) piqued my curiosity and the emerging field of orofacial myology has since become my new passion.
